1

Like cows calling to their calves in a stable, so with our songs we honor This Indra, your Wondrous God who stops attacks, who delights in the sweet Soma drink.

2

Heavenly, generous Giver, surrounded by might, rich as mountains, in precious things, We swiftly seek you. Rich in cattle, bring us a bounty hundredfold and thousandfold.

3

Indra, the strong and high peaks cannot stop your path. No one holds back your action when you wish to give wealth to one who sings your praise.

4

You are a warrior by strength, wisdom, and marvelous deed, in might surpassing all. May this hymn draw you to our aid, the one Gotamas have composed.

5

In your might, you extend beyond the limits of heaven. The earthly realm, Indra, cannot contain you. After your divinity you have grown.

6

When, Maghavan, you honor the worshipper, no one stays to hold back your wealth. Most liberal Giver, may you inspire our song of praise, that we may win the spoils.
