1

I invoke your Young Hero, the Youthful One, with hymns, the Youngest Deity, whose speech is pure; Sage who showers wealth, encompassing all treasures, bringer of many blessings, without malice.

2

At dusk and dawn, your devout servants bring you their precious gifts, O Multiform Priest, On whom, the Purifier, all living beings find happiness firmly established.

3

From olden times, you have dwelled among these people, using mental prowess as your charioteer of blessings. Hence, send to him, O Wise One, who serves you, treasures in succession.

4

Agni, whoever secretly attacks us, the neighbor, you with Mitra's might! who harms us, Burn them with your own young bulls forever, burning fiercely, fiercest burner.

5

He who serves you with sacrifice and fuel, with hymn, Young Hero, and praises, Shines out, Immortal! among mortals, a sage, with wealth, splendor, and glory.

6

Do this, O Agni, when we urge you, swiftly, triumphant in your might, subdue our enemies. When praised with words and adorned with brightness, accept this chanted hymn, the worshipper's honor.

7

Help us that we may gain this wish, O Agni, gain riches, Wealthy One! with a store of heroes. Desiring strength from you, may we be strengthened, and win, Eternal! your eternal glory.
