As the young Bull sprang into existence, he craved to drink the pressed Soma juice. Drink as much as you desire, according to your craving, first, of the excellent blend mixed with Soma.

On the day you were born, you thirsted to taste it, drinking the plant’s milk that the mountains nurture. That milk your Mother, the one who bore you, poured for you in your mighty Father’s home.

Seeking sustenance, he came to his Mother, and on her breast he saw the spicy Soma. Wise, he moved on, leaving others behind, and performed great deeds in his many forms.

Fierce and swift to conquer, of unmatched strength, he shaped his body as he pleased. Even from his birth-time, Indra conquered Tvashtri, took the Soma, and drank it in the vessels.

Let us invoke Maghavan, auspicious Indra, the mightiest warrior in battles where spoils are gathered; The strong one who listens, who aids in wars, who slays the Vritras, wins and gathers riches.
