Set this sacrifice among the Devas: May you accept these offerings, O Jātavedas. O Priest, O Agni, sit down before us and first enjoy the drops of oil and fat.

For you, O Purifier, let the drops of rich oil flow. Grant us the finest boon that the Devas might partake.

Agni, Most Excellent! From the Sage’s drops, oil drips down. You are kindled like the wisest Seer. Help the sacrifice.

To you, O Agni, mighty and unyielding, let the drops of oil and fat flow. With great radiance you have come, praised by poets! Accept our offering, O Sage.

Exceedingly rich fat, extracted from the heart—this we offer as a gift. Excellent God, the drops run down on your skin. Distribute them among the Devas.
