1

Follow you, O Manyu surrounded by Maruts, let our brave warriors, bold and eager, March on, like flames of fire in shape, rejoicing, with sharp arrows, sharpening their weapons.

2

Flashing like fire, be you, O conquering Manyu, invoked, O Victor, as our army’s leader. Slay our foes, divide their possessions; show your strength, scatter those who hate us.

3

O Manyu, overcome your foe, breaking, slaying, crushing down the enemy. They did not hinder your impetuous vigor: Mighty, Single-born! You make them your subjects.

4

Alone or many, you are worshiped, Manyu: sharpen the spirit of each clan for battle. With you to aid, O you of perfect glory, we will raise the glorious shout for conquest.

5

Unyielding, bringing victory like Indra, O Manyu, be you here our Sovereign Ruler. To your dear name, O Victor, we sing praise: we know the spring from which you came hither.

6

Twin-born with power, destructive bolt of thunder, the highest conquering might is yours, Subduer! Be friendly to it in your spirit, Manyu, O Much-invoked, in the shock of mighty battle.

7

For spoils, let Varuṇa and Manyu give us the wealth of both sides gathered and collected; And let our enemies, with spirits broken, overwhelmed with terror, slink away defeated.
