1

The strongest guardian lives within whose home you pour libations, O Maruts, mighty ones of the sky.

2

Revered with offerings or the songs of wise men, O Maruts, listen to our call.

3

May the strong one to whom you grant wisdom move Into a prosperous home filled with cattle.

4

On this hero’s sacred grass, Soma is poured daily; Praise and joy ring out loud.

5

May the strong Maruts hear him, surpassing all men— Strength that reaches even to the Sun.

6

Through the love of the swift gods, in many autumns, Maruts, we offer up our sacrifices.

7

May the fortunate mortal, O Maruts most dear, Bear your gifts and be well blessed.

8

O True Heroes, truly strong, you know the toil Of those who sing your praises, and the hearts of lovers.

9

O You of true strength, manifest this by your greatness— Strike down the demons with your thunderbolt.

10

Hide the dark horror, drive far the devouring fiends, Create the light we yearn for.
