1

As a good cow to the one who milks it, we call the doer of good deeds, To our assistance every day.

2

Come to our libations, drink of Soma; Soma-drinker you are! The wealthy One gives cows as rapture.

3

May we know your innermost kindness: Do not neglect us, come hither.

4

Go to the wise, undefeated One, ask Indra, skilled in song, Who is better than your friends.

5

Whether those who mock us say, "Go to another place," You who serve Indra and no one else;

6

Or whether, God of wonderful deeds, all our true people call us blessed, Still may we dwell in Indra’s care.

7

Bring the swift One speed, cheering man, the grace of sacrifice, That to the Friend gives wings and joy.

8

You, Śatakratu, drank this and were the Vṛtras' slayer; you Help the warrior in battle.

9

We strengthen, Śatakratu, you, the powerful in battle, That, Indra, we may win wealth.

10

To him the mighty stream of wealth, dear friend of him who pours the juice, Yes, to this Indra sing your song.
