With skill they crafted the swift-moving chariot; they fashioned the Bays that carry Indra and bestow great gifts. The Rbhus created new life for parents; they also fashioned a mother for the calf beside it.
Make for us active vital power, skill, and wisdom, as food for a noble offspring. Grant us this excellent power so that, with a heroic family, we may dwell together.
You, Rbhus, make prosperity for us, prosperity for the chariot, heroes, and steed. Grant us perpetual victory, ever-conquering in battle, over foes, kin, or strangers.
Indra, lord of the Rbhus, invoke for aid; the Rbhus, Vājas, Maruts, to the Soma drink. Varuṇa, Mitra, both, yes, and the Aśvins Two: may they bring us wealth, wisdom, and victory.
May the Rbhus send prosperity for battle, may Vāja protect us in the fight, conquering. May this prayer of ours be granted by Varuṇa, Mitra, Aditi, and Sindhu, Earth and Heaven.
