Flow onward, Indu, with this offering for him who in your wild dance

Battered the ninety-nine and struck,

Smashed forts and gambaras, then Yadu and Turvaga,

For pious Devodasa's sake.

Finder of horses, pour on us horses and wealth in cattle and gold,

And, Indu, food in abundant stores.

We seek your friendly love, even Pavamana’s flowing stream

Beyond the cleansing sieve’s limit.

With those same waves that overflow the purifying sieve,

Soma, be gracious to us.

O Soma, being purified, bring us riches and food with hero sons.

Here, the Child born by streams, adorned by Adityas,

With Indra and Vāyu, effulgent, flows onward with Sūrya’s beams

To the cleansing sieve.

Flow rich in sweetness and lovely for our Bhaga, Vāyu, Pūṣan,

For Mitra and Varuṇa.

High is thy juice’s birth: though set in heaven, on earth it has strong sheltering power and great renown.

Striving to win, with him we gain all wealth from the ungodly man,

Yea, all the glories of mankind.

With Indra and the Maruts, flow for Indra whom we must adore,

For Varuṇa and the Marut host.

The Gods have come well-born, beautified with milk,

The active crusher of the foe.

Even as mother cows strengthen their calves, let our praise-songs

Strengthen him, who wins Indra’s heart.

Pour blessings on our kine, pour forth the milk-rich food,

Increase the sea that merits praise.

From heaven, Pavamana made the marvel thunder, and

All mankind’s lofty light.

The joyous and auspicious juice of thee, Pavamana, King!

Flows over the woolen straining cloth.

Thy juice, O Pavamana, sends its rays like splendid skill,

Like luster, all heaven’s light, to see.

Flow onward with that excellent juice, bringing delight,

Slaying the wicked, dear to gods.

Killing the foe and his hatred, and winning booty every day,

Gainer art thou of steeds and kine.

Red-hued, blend with the milk that seems to yield its lovely breast,

Falcon-like resting in thine home.

Flow onward thou who strengthened Indra to slaughter Vṛtra who

Compassed and stayed the mighty floods.
