1

Both boons, may Indra, turned hitherward, hear this prayer from us, And mighty Maghavan, with thoughts inclined toward us, come near to drink the Soma juice.

2

For him, strong and independent Ruler, Heaven and Earth have created power and might. Thou sittest as first among thy peers in place, for thy soul yearns for Soma juice.

3

Fill yourself, O Lord of wealth, O Indra, with the juice we pour. We know thee, Lord of Bay Steeds, victor in battle, conquering even the invincible.

4

Changeless in truth, O Maghavan Indra, let it be as you wish in wisdom. May we, O fair of heart, win plunder with your aid, O Thunderer, seeking it swiftly.

5

Indra, with all your saving helps, give us assistance, Lord of power. For after thee we follow, as glorious bliss, thee, Hero, finder of wealth.

6

Increaser of our horses and multiplying cattle, a golden well, O God, are you, For none may diminish the gifts stored within you. Grant me whatever I ask.

7

For you, come to the worshipper! You will bring great wealth to make us rich. Fill yourself, O Maghavan, for the gain of cattle, fill, Indra, for the gain of horses.

8

You bestow many hundreds of herds, indeed, many thousands, you give. With singers' hymns, we bring the Fort-render near, singing to Indra for his grace.

9

Whether the simple or the sage, Indra, have offered praise to you, He Śatakratu! by his love has delighted you, ambitious, ever striving!

10

If he the Strong of arm, the breaker-down of forts, the great Destroyer, hears my call, We, seeking riches, cry to Indra, Lord of wealth, to Śatakratu with our praises.

11

We do not count as sinners, nor as miserly or foolish when we offer Soma juice. With the Soma we make Indra, the Mighty One, our friend.

12

We have yoked him in battle, the powerful Conqueror, debt-claimer, not to be deceived. Best charioteer, the Victor marks each fault, he knows the strong to whom he will come near.

13

Indra, give us
