1

WE CALL YOUR CHARIOT TO RECEIVE UNIFIED PRAISE AMID PRINCELY MEN, Strong Devas who shower wealth, of unvanquishable might!

2

YOU COME TO VAROṣusaman, Nāsatyas, for this glorious rite. With your protective aid. Strong Devas, who shower wealth.

3

SO WITH OBELATIONS WE INVOCATE YOU, RICH IN ABUNDANT WEALTH, TO-DAY, When night has passed, O you who send us plentiful food. O Aśvins, Heroes, may your chariot, famed, travel best to us, And for his glory, mark your zealous servant’s praises.

4

Aśvins, who send us precious gifts, even when offended, think of him: For you, O Rudras, lead us safely beyond our foes.

5

Wonder-Workers, with swift horses, you fly completely around this All, Stirring our thoughts, you Lords of splendor, honey-hued.

6

With all-sustaining opulence, Aśvins, come hitherward to us, Ye rich and noble Heroes, never to be overthrown.

7

To welcome this offering, O you Indra-like Nāsatyas, come, As Gods of best accord this day with other Gods.

8

FOR WE, LIKE Vyaśva, raising our voice like oxen, call on you: With all your loving kindness, Sages, come to us.

9

O Ṛṣi, laud the Aśvins well. Will they not listen to your call? Will they not burn the Paṇis who are closer to them?

10

O Heroes, listen to the son of Vyaśva, and regard me here, Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, of one accord.

11

Gods we long for, of your gifts, of what you bring to us, grant By princes’ hands on me, ye Mighty, day by day.

12

Him whom your sacrifices clothe, even as a woman with her robe, The Aśvins honor him well with glory.

13

Whoso regards your care of men as the widest in its reach, About his dwelling go, ye Aśvins, loving us.

14

Come to us you who pour down wealth, come to the home that men must guard: Like arrows, you are fit for
