1

May your golden chariot, drawn by strong horses, come to us, stopping up the earth and sky, Bright with its wheels as it drops fatness, food-filled, rich in horses, protector of men.

2

Let it approach, yoked by will, three-wheeled, stretching far and wide over fivefold beings, Whereby you visit the race that worships gods, bending your path as you wish, O Dawn Brothers.

3

Renowned with noble horses, come here to us: drink, Wondrous Pair, the cup that holds sweet juice. Your chariot, upon which your spouse travels, marks with its tracks the farthest reaches of the sky.

4

When night turns to the gray of dawn, the Maiden, Surya’s daughter, chose your brilliance. When with your might and power you aid the pious one, coming through heat to life by your help.

5

O Chariot-borne, this chariot of yours adorned with light comes harnessed to our home. With this, O Dawn Brothers, as the dawn breaks, bring peace and blessing to our sacrifice.

6

Like thirsty wild cattle for lightning, heroes, come near today to our libations. Men call on you with hymns in many places, but let not others keep you from us.

7

Bhujyu, abandoned in the middle of the ocean, you rose from the water with your horses, Uninjured, winged, unshaken, unwavering, with wonders done, O Dawn Brothers.

8

Now listen, O Youthful Two, to my invocation: come, Dawn Brothers, to the home where food abounds. Grant us wealth, honor our nobles. Evermore preserve us, gods, with blessings.
