From the center of the ocean, the waters, their leader, the sea, cleanse and never rest. Indra, the Bull, the Thunderer, dug their channels: here may those Waters, Goddesses, protect me.

Waters that come from heaven, or those that flow from the earth, or free by nature, Bright, purifying, rushing to the ocean, here may those Waters, Goddesses, protect me.

Among them goes Varuṇa, the Sovereign, who distinguishes truth from falsehood— Distilling meath, the bright, the purifying, here may those Waters, Goddesses, protect me.

They from whom Varuṇa, the King, and Soma, and all the Deities drink strength and vigor, They into whom Vaiśvānara Agni entered, here may those Waters, Goddesses, protect me.
