1

The heroic god gave me two oxen and a wagon. Tryarus's son Tryaruna distinguished himself, Vaiśvānara Agni! with ten thousand soldiers.

2

Protect Tryaruna, as you are growing stronger and more praised, Vaiśvānara Agni! Who grants me a hundred cows and twenty, and two sturdy horses, skilled at pulling carts.

3

As such, Trasadasyu served you, Youngest God, asking for your favor for the ninth time, Agni; Tryaruna who listens attentively to many songs I sing, mighty one.

4

He who wishes for me, for the Asvamedha sacrifice, for the prince, Gives power to him who seeks gain through his verse, grants hero power to him.

5

From him come a hundred oxen, all speckled, that fill my heart, The gifts of the Asvamedha, like three times mixed Soma juice.

6

Grant hero power to him who gives a hundred gifts, Indra-Agni! O lofty rule like the unending Sun in the sky.
