1

At dawn, let Agni, dear welcome to the household, be honored; Immortal, who delights in all offerings made by mortal men.

2

For Dvita, who receives maimed offerings rich in native strength, Thy praiser gains at once the Soma drops, Immortal Gods!

3

Noble ones, with song I call your chariot that shines with longevity, For, God who gives horses! That chariot travels harmlessly here and there.

4

Those with diverse thoughts, who guard the lands within their mouths, And scatter grass before the light, have adorned themselves with great honor.

5

Immortal Agni, grant the chiefs, heroic ones who perform the rites, Heroes of illustrious fame, lofty renown, who at the assembly presented me with fifty horses.
