Now we praise Dadhikrās the swift, and mention in our song the Earth and Heaven.
May the Dawn's light inspire me to action, and protect me from every hardship.
I honor the mighty Horse that fills my spirit, the Dadhikrāvan rich in bounty,
Swift-footed and radiant like Agni, you Varuṇa and Mitra, gave this to Pūrus.
To him who honors the Horse at the dawn's first light, the Dadhikrāvan of one mind with Varuṇa and Mitra,
Aditi may make free from all fault.
When we recall the mighty Dadhikrāvan, our sustenance and strength, then the blessed name of Maruts,
Varuṇa, Mitra, we invoke for well-being, and Agni, and the thunder-wielding Indra.
Both sides invoke him as they call on Indra when they go to sacrifice.
To us, Varuṇa and Mitra granted the Dadhikrāvan, a guide for mortals.
So I praised Dadhikrāvan, the conquering Horse.
May he make our mouths sweet, and lengthen the days we have to live.
