1

COME, praised one, with might and help, O Indra, with your golden horses; rejoice, Even past the warrior’s many libations, adorned with our hymns, true wealth-giver.

2

Your friend to this our sacrifice he comes, marking how he is called by Soma-drinkers. Fearless, and knowing his horses are fine, he rejoices with the Soma-drinking warriors.

3

Make his chariots listen, so he may show his strength and be joyful in the path he loves. May mighty Indra pour forth in abundance and grant us good roads and perfect safety;

4

He who with support comes to his seeker, the singer here who calls out to him; He who himself sets swift horses to the pole, he who has hundreds, thousands, Thunder-wielder.

5

O Indra Maghavan, may we be protected by you, princes and priests and singers, Sharing the riches sent from high heaven that yields much food, and all desire its bounty.
