1

Whosoever lights you with a ladle raised and offers you food three times a day, O Agni, May they surpass all, victorious through your brilliance, wise through your mental prowess, O Jātavedas.

2

Whosoever labors hard to bring you fuel, serving the might of powerful Agni, He, lighting you at dawn and dusk, prospers, gains wealth, and vanquishes his foes.

3

Agni is the master of sublime dominion, Agni is the lord of strength and vast riches. Straightaway, the self-reliant God, Youngest in age, grants treasures to the mortal who worships you.

4

Youngest God, whatever sin, through foolishness, we humans have committed here, In sight of Aditi, make us sinless, completely, Agni, erase our offenses.

5

Even in the presence of great sin, O Agni, free us from the prisons of gods or mortals. Never may we, your friends, be harmed; grant health and strength to our descendants.

6

Just as you, Excellent and Holy Gods, have freed the cow tied by the hoof, So too, free us from this long-lasting affliction, let our life be extended, O Agni.
