To Agni, this mighty God, I sing aloud with all my might. May he come to us with the Gods, and sit, the best Offerer, on the grass.
The Holy One, whose are the earth and sky, and help is ready when his strength is strong; Men who offer sacrifices praise him, and those who seek his grace.
He is the wise one who guides these men, the leader of sacred rites he is. Serve your own Agni well, who wins and gives wealth.
May gracious Agni grant us good shelter, wherever he showers wealth in the skies or waters.
Singers light him up, the Priest, Agni, Lord of men's tribes, Radiant and unmatched by his own excellent design.
Help us, you Brahman, best among those who invoke the Gods in song. Be bright, Friend of the Maruts, may bliss be on us, Agni, a generous God.
Grant us a thousandfold treasure with children and sustenance, And Agni, with hero strength, exalted, not wasting away.
