1

May Indra graciously receive the gifts we offer, both from us and the Soma juice, when he knows of its flow.

2

You roam far, O Indra, through the realms of light and the worlds of earth, the realm praised by many. Let those who perform solemn rites conquer the noisy ones who bring no gifts.

3

To me, this sight seems most beautiful, when the son cares for his parents' lineage. The wife attracts the husband; with joy, the man's auspicious marriage is performed correctly.

4

I have seen this beautiful place where the cows lead the wedding procession, like milch-cows; Where the Mother of the Herd is first and best, and around her are the seven-tuned people of the choir.

5

The Pious One has arrived before the others; one alone triumphs with the Rudras' band. To these your helpers, Immortal Gods, pour our offerings, with whose praise you can win their gifts.

6

He who knows the Laws of God told me that you were hidden in the waters. Indra, who knows well, saw and showed you. Instructed by him, I come, O Agni.

7

The stranger asks the way of the one who knows it; guided by the skilled teacher, he travels onward. This is indeed the blessing of instruction; he finds the direct path forward.

8

He still breathes; these days he remembers. Hidden, he suckled his Mother's breast. Yet in his youth, old age has come upon him; he has grown gracious, good, and without anger.

9

We will bring these blessings to them, O Kalasa, who give rich presents, O Kurusravana. May he, O wealthy princes, and this Soma I carry in my heart, reward you.
