You, who receive offerings, you who are lit up, are lit up for the gods. With the Ādityas, Rudras, and Vasus, come to us: to grant us favor, come to us.
Come here and accept with joy this sacrifice and hymn of ours. Oh kindled God, we mortals invoke you, calling on you to show us favor.
I praise you, Jātavedas, Lord of all good things, with my song. Agni, bring the gods whose laws we love, whose laws we love, to show us favor.
Agni, the god, was made the great high-priest of the gods, Rishis kindled Agni, men of mortal form. Agni, I invoke for winning abundant wealth. Kindly disposed for winning wealth.
Atri and Bharadvāja and Gavisthira, Kaṇva and Trasadasyu, in our fight they aided. On Agni calls Vasiṣṭha, the household priest, to win his favor.
