1

Forest Goddess, you vanish from sight, why don't you seek the village? Are you afraid?

2

When the grasshopper chirps and the cicada sings, It seems like tinkling bells, the Forest Goddess rejoices.

3

Cattle seem to graze, and a place seems to appear: Or perhaps at dusk, the Forest Goddess frees the wagons.

4

One calls to his cow, another fells a tree, At dusk, the woodland dweller thinks someone has screamed.

5

The Goddess never kills, unless a murderous foe approaches. Man eats the fragrant fruit and rests as he pleases.

6

I have praised the Forest Queen, sweet-smelling, fragrant with balm, Mother of all forest things, she neither farms nor stores, yet has plenty.
