Drink the Soma juice for mighty power and vigor, drink, Strongest One, that you may strike down Vṛtra. Drink as you are invoked for strength and wealth; drink deeply of the mead and pour it down, O Indra.
Drink the nourishing juice stirred into motion, drink whatever you choose from the flowing Soma. Giver of well-being, be joyful in your spirit, and turn toward blessing and prosperity.
May heavenly Soma cheer you, O Indra, may that which is shared among people delight you. Rejoice in that which gave you freedom and that which conquered your enemies.
Let Indra come, impetuous, doubly powerful, to the poured Soma, the Bull, with two Bay Coursers. With juices pressed in milk, with mead presented, always fill your bolt, O Destroyer of foes.
Smash down, driving away their sharp weapons, the strongholds of men urged on by demons. I give you, Mighty One, great strength and victory; go, meet your foes and tear them apart in battle.
Spread far the devotee’s fame and glory, as the firm archer’s strength drives off the foe. Ranged on our side, grown strong in might that conquers, never defeated, still increase your body.
We present this offering to you; accept it, Sovereign Ruler, free from anger. Juice, Maghavan, is pressed and ripened for you; eat, Indra, drink of that which stirs to meet you.
Eat, Indra, these offerings that approach you; be pleased with food prepared and with Soma. With hospitality we receive you friendily; make effective the sacrificer’s wishes.
I send sweet speech to Indra and Agni; with hymns I guide it like a boat through waters. Even so, the Gods seem moving around me, the fountains and bestowers of our wealth.
