1

I SEEK the aid of the Imperial Lords, Indra and Varuṇa; may they Both favor one of us like me.

2

You are protectors of men, always ready to help at the call Of any singer like myself.

3

May you, according to your will, O Indra and Varuṇa, be rich: We want you close by us.

4

May we share your powers, your kindness, That gives strength generously.

5

Indra and Varuṇa, among those who give much, worthy of praise, Are Powers deserving high praise.

6

With your protection, may we gain great wealth, and pile it up So plentifully that there's more than enough.

7

O Indra and Varuṇa, I call for wealth in all its forms: Keep us always victorious.

8

O Indra and Varuṇa, through our songs that seek to win you to us, Give us your immediate help.

9

O Indra and Varuṇa, let my fair praise reach you, A joint honor that you make great.
