Far-shining, widely famed, go where you please, fed with oil, be helpful. Like Mitra, let us sing your praises. So, Viṣṇu, even the wise must swell your song of praise, and he who offers sacrifices must honor you solemnly.
He who brings gifts to the Ancient One and the Last, to Viṣṇu who ordains and his spouse, Who tells the lofty birth of the loftiest One, shall surely surpass in glory even his equal.
You, singers, have satisfied the primordial germ of order, even from your birth. Knowing his name, you have told it forth: may we, Viṣṇu, enjoy the grace of the mighty One.
The Sovereign Varuṇa and both the Aśvins wait on this will of him who guides the Marut host. Viṣṇu has supreme power and might that breaks the day, and with his friend opens the stable of the cows.
Even he the Heavenly One who came for fellowship, Viṣṇu to Indra, divine to more divine, Who Maker, seated in three worlds, helps the Arya man and gives the worshipper his portion of holy law.
