We honor with reverence and offerings you, Mitra and Varuṇa, in harmony, mighty, So that with us, both of you whose backs are oiled, the priests with oil and hymns support you.
Your praise is like a powerful force, an impetus; to you, both gods, a well-formed hymn is offered, As the priest decorates you, Strong Ones, in assemblies, and the prince wishes to worship you for blessings.
O Mitra-Varuṇa, Aditi, the Cow of Plenty, pours out the ritual libation for those who offer it, When in the assembly he who worships brings you joy, as if by a human priest, with gifts presented.
May the cows and heavenly waters pour you sweet drink in families that make you happy. May the ancient House-Lord give us this. Enjoy, drink of the milk the cow provides.
