I HONOR the seven-rayed, triple-headed Agni, perfect in His Parents' embrace, Nestled in the hearts of all that moves and stands still, Him who has filled all luminous heavens.
Like a great Ox He grew among His Parents; exalted He stands, unmarred by time, vast and wide. He sets His steps upon the high ridges of the broad Earth: His red tongues caress the udders.
Both Cows, fair-shaped, stretch out in every direction, Dividing paths for travel, entrusting all desires to Him, the Mightiest.
Wise sages guide Him to His home, Guarding with diverse skill the Ever-Young. They turned their eyes to the River: To Him, the Sun of Men, was revealed.
Born noble in the lands, Aim of all eyes to be sought for life by great and small alike, As far as the Wealthy One spreads Himself, He is the Visible Father of this offspring.
