1

Pūṣan’s strength is always praised, his lordly might never fades, his hymns of praise never wane. I laud him near to bring us aid, the source of happiness, Who, Vigorous one, draws all hearts to him, the Vigorous One, the God.

2

You, Pūṣan, like a swift horse on its path, I urge you with praise to scatter our enemies far, drive them like camels, as your friend. As a man, I call you, God, giver of happiness, to make our praises glorious in battle. So, in every fight, let us pray for wealth.

3

You, Pūṣan, in whose friendship those who sing praise find advantage, even in wisdom, through your grace, in wisdom they advance. So, after this latest course, we come to you with prayers for wealth. Not angered, O Ruler of All, come to us, come in every fight.

4

Not angered, come, Free-giver, near to us, to take this gift, you who have goats as steeds, who long for fame. So, Wonder-Worker! may we bring you here with effective praise. I do not slight you, Pūṣan, Resplendent One: your friendship will not be ignored.
